Effective Staff Execution: Needed minus Actual divided by Needed plus 100% and represents Shows how close actual staff use was to what Management Seer calculates was needed, as a percent.
            100% means perfect match. Below 100% is waste (more staff than we shuld have), over 100% may be risking provding less than optimal care.

            Total (Hrs) and Value are percent the Needed hours/value were of the Actual hours/value. Negative is having too many staff, Postive is danger of not providing optimal care

What does this mean?
    The closer all the values are to 100%, the better the center did at executing in the periods shown.
    This is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak, and reprsents the result of both planning and executing throughout the day as situations change.

Detailed administration's schedule management results
Planned : This is the count of the attendance Child Care Seer has been told to expect.
Actual : This is the count of the attendance that actually occured in Child Care Seer.
             If the report is for a period that has not yet occured then the actual will be blank or not shown.

Projected : This is the count of the attendance Management Seer projects will occur (or should be need for staff).
Needed : This is the count of the attendance Management Seer projects should have been needed for staff based on actual child attendnances.
Plan Strength: Projected minus Planned and represents how well the plan matches the alorithms projections.
            (0 means perfect, negative indicates over planning and expecting more than the aglorithm thinks is needed, postive means underplanned and the alroithm suggests more sould be planned for enough.)

Algorithm Performance: Actual minus Projected and represents How well actual attendance matches the alorithm's projections.
            (0 means perfect, negative indicates attendance was less than the Management Seer thought [safe], postive means attednance was higher then the algoirthm prediction [risk].)

Prediction Error: Needed minus Projected and represents How well the Management Seer generated schedule based on historics attendance matches the Management Seer generated schedule based on the children who actually attendnace.
            (0 means perfect, negative indicates projections were more than actually needed [safe], postive means underplanned and more staff was actally needed then the prediction algoirthm calculated [risk].)

Staffing Efficiency: Needed minus Actual and represents How well what actually happened matches the alorithms's calculated actual staff need was.
            (0 means perfect, negative means more staff used than actually needed [waste], postive indicates less staff used then needed [care quality risk].)

Children Planning Error: Actual minus Planned and represents How well what actually happened matches the plan provided in Child Care Seer.
            (0 means perfect, negative means indicates less children attended then planned [risk of over planning], postive means more children attended than planed [risk of under planinng].)

Staff Planning Error: Actual minus Planned and represents How well what actually happened matches the plan provided in Child Care Seer.
            (0 means perfect, negative means indicates less staff attended then planned [likely over planned, or unplanned absenses], postive means more staff attended than planed [waste or was under planned].)

Effective Staff Execution: Needed minus Actual divided by Needed plus 100% and represents Shows how close actual staff use was to what Management Seer calculates was needed, as a percent.
            100% means perfect match. Below 100% is waste (more staff than we shuld have), over 100% may be risking provding less than optimal care.

            Total (Hrs) and Value are percent the Needed hours/value were of the Actual hours/value. Negative is having too many staff, Postive is danger of not providing optimal care
Value : This is the Revenue or Cost of the attendance Management Seer calculates for the time period.

What does this mean?
    This is a single view of all the things that contibuted to the final schedule performance, from initial plan through actuals results:
    It is difficult to use, but can be useful when trying to figure out what happened and digging deeper to find out why.

    To review how well the administration did at planning:
      Look at the Staffing Efficiency for the week in totals, or by a period of interest (Report 03-01 shows just these values).
      Overall, the closer to zero, the better the manager did at achieving efficiency.
      For staffing efficiency, zero really is the ideal goal. Negative is spending more than was needed, but a postive value means the quality of care may be impacted.
      The final total Staffing Efficiency is a figure of merit (KPI) for the whole period

    To review items regarding how well the Management Seer Algoirthm did:
      Look at the Algorthm Performance for the week in totals, or by a period of interest to see how much it over (neative) or under (postive) estiamted attenance of children.
      Look at Prediction Error for the week in totals, or by a period of interest to see how much the algoirthm over (neative) or under (postive) estimated the staff needs.
      Under estimation (postive values) are more concerning, as it risks not having enough staff to provide care in planning.
      The final total Algorithm Performance and Prediction Error is a figure of merit (KPI) for the whole period for Management Seer's performance.

    Did the administration do a better job of planning than the algorithm?
      When Alogirthm Performance is closer to 0 than Child Planning Error, the algorithm is doing a better job of predicting the week than the administration is in Child Care Seer.
      When Prediction Error is close to 0 than Staff Planning Error, the algoirthm is doing a better job of predicting the real stafff needs than the administration has.

    Weeks that are 'typical' to a normal week, the algoirthm often will out perform the center planning, because the computer can process and see a lot of information that's hard for humans.
    However, strange weeks (holidays, weather closures) the administration often will perform better.
    The goal for the school is to use the Management Seer informaiton to help plan and communicate with staff to make the best use of the staff and resources available.


    --- Notes on Total (Hrs) and Values ---
    The Total (Hrs) shown is how much difference in time there is in what really happened was to what was possible to acheive based on actual attendance.
    The Value shown for staff is how much much less (or more if negative) what really happened costs to what was possbile based on actual attendance.
    --- Note on Value totals for Children ---
      The Value for Children are due to how revenue is spread out since most families pay a fixed amount for a week, and will net to near 0 in a week.
      On positive days, they attendance was above average for the week, and on negative days it was below average.
      This is of limited value in this chart, the staff value is more useful.

The projection is based on many factors below are a few of them:

  • Known absenses told to Child Care Seer
  • The individuals consistency in schedule
  • Maching Learning Algoirthms
  • Artificial Intelligence Algoirthms

Shows how well the plan in child care seer aligns with the projected child attendance
Compliance : This is the Projected Plan minus the Plan and represents the difference the projection using attenance history from what is currently planned in the system.

Value : This is the Revenue or Cost of the attendance Management Seer calculates for the time period.

About Coloring:
    A Dot "." Means that the projected and actual are the same.
    Red colors indicate that the planned attendance is more than projected for the slot being shown, meaning you're over planning this child.
    Green colors indicate that the projected attendance is more than planned for the slot being shown, meaning you're under planning this child.
    When both colors are being shown for a child, it generally means you're estimating their start and stop times differently from what they're really doning.

What does this mean?
    Where there are larger differences, Management Seer's Projections suggest different timing than currently in Child Care Seer.

The times have been compressed to show data in a more meaningful way
      Early and late hours time blocks are more detailed (cover less time.)
      Normal hours (less likely to have big changes) blocks covers more time.
